2026 Syllabus - Voice

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY:

All repertoire other than sight-singing or ensemble classes must be memorized.  A performance wherein the repertoire is not memorized will receive an adjudication but will not receive a mark.  With the exception of oratorio and operatic classes, where repertoire must come from standard editions, all other repertoire may engage transposition to suit the singer's vocal development.

We are pleased to offer Classical classes by level or by age, Contemporary, Popular, Own Composition, Mature Adult, Duet, Trio and Small Ensemble along with a Non-Competitive section for registrants that want only the feedback from a highly qualified adjudicator.

Please see OMFA's list of recommended selections for Songs from the Screens, with suggestions for Musical Theatre and Popular included.

Most classes are Provincial qualifying except for Non-Competitive classes.  However, any questions should be directed to Hilary Greer, 519-520-4986.

There are 2 Major Vocal Awards (PLEASE ENSURE YOU ENROLL IN THE PROPER CLASSES):

  1. Rotary Club of St. Thomas Vocal Music Award - Intermediate ($500)
  2. Doris Evans Award - Senior ($1000)
